COVID-19 Safety

COVID-19 Safety for In-Person Counselling

In order to minimise the health risks to both of us from the current prevalence of COVID-19 I have established the following safeguards to enable us to undertake in-person Counselling.

I will undertake to

1.  Maintain a gap of at least 30 minutes between in-person sessions

2.  Seek to maintain a physical separation of at least 1.5m between us throughout the session

3.  Wear a transparent full-face covering throughout the session

4.  Maintain a transparent physical screen between us throughout the session

5.  Clean (with appropriate anti-viral cleaner) the chair(s), door handles & any other items that may have been touched by other clients, or have been touched by you, in between sessions

6.  Provide suitable Hand Sanitization for you to use on entry to (& exit from) the Counselling room

7.  Open the Counselling room windows between sessions & as far as possible maintain them open during sessions.

8.  Cancel or re-arrange sessions should I develop COVID-19 symptoms or be required to self-isolate, or if I am awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.

I ask you to

1.  Refrain from attending a session if you are suffering from COVID-19 symptoms, or are awaiting results of a COVID-19 test. Sessions can be postponed (& no late cancellation fees will apply, provided I am notified) or re-arranged to take place on-line at the same time.

2.  Wear a face covering on entry to and exit from the Counselling room, but remove it during the session. Alternatively, you may choose to wear a transparent full-face covering

3.  Sanitize your hands on entry to the Counselling room

4.  Bring your own refreshment (as I will not be providing water) if you need it.

5.  Seek to maintain a physical separation of at least 1.5m between us throughout the session

6.  If you have access to NHS COVID-19 App on your phone, scan the QR Code on entry to the Counselling room (I would encourage you to install the App if your phone is capable of supporting it).

7.  Agree that I am permitted to provide appropriate personal details to NHS Test & Trace (or other relevant legal agency) if requested

Please also note that I will have no toilet facility available until further notice.
